Back on the job! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
At Fluid, great emphasis is placed on exploration and seeking inspiration, and to that end, who can provide better inspiration and wisdom then mother nature? During the holidays, I had the opportunity to go hiking in Taiwan’s stunning mountains where not only did I get to enjoy the crisp fresh air, I got a glimpse of nature’s inherent beauty. These photos highlight the visual contrast between man-made forms and nature, serving as a reminder - that nature is always a great source of inspiration and knowledge.
Which means there’s only 12 more day’s till Christmas Eve, bring on the shopping, food and festivity! We’re also mid week, yay!
Have a great afternoon :)
How did everyone enjoy their weekend?
I explored the now run down Kai Tak Airport, which is now being redeveloped as part of the government’s urban renewal project. It’s a bit nostalgic as I remember arriving at that airport to visit my grandparents. There’s also this scary looking metal contraption locked on all the lampposts, which scared gave me a fright as they resembled giant hanging spiders!
Ross here, I’m the new intern at Fluid. This is my first step out into the real world and its certainly equally daunting and exciting. During my stay, I’ll be sharing with you some of the experiences and sights from Hong Kong! I hope you would follow me on my journey.
The first two photo’s are from around Shueng Wan, a place thick with traditional elements blended with the 21st centaury. There are literary dozens of shops selling dried shark fin, ginseng, dang gui and much much more, all adding to Shueng Wan’s unique smell, sight and atmosphere.

It’s been such an enjoyable experience working here at Fluid but it’s time to wrap things up. I’ll miss this tumblr, I’ll miss the girls on the branding team, I’ll miss making tea for everyone (hahaha), I’ll miss being made fun of (shhh…), I’ll miss coming into the office everyday and feeling useful ( or not…? ), I’ll miss the random office treats people bring in, I’ll miss everyone’s warmth and kindness, I’ll miss sharing and soaking up knowledge…
I’ll miss a lot of things really, because so much has happened during my time here!
So a big thank you to everyone at Fluid, as you’ve all helped shape my experience here. I look forward to enjoying POW with you all this afternoon!!!!

Last three days of my time at Fluid… third day of the week… anything to do with the number three!

Rise and shine everyone! Apart from my internship at Fluid, I’ve also been working on a side project (mural) with a close friend of mine after hours, on weekends and during whatever time I have to spare when not in the office. It’s taken over two months to complete from pitching to the building committee to layering the last bit of paint on the wall. I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done and would like to share this tiring, great, frustrating, fulfilling, incredible, stressful, beautiful experience with you all.
If you’d like to know a little more about this project of mine, take a visit to http://www.brian-lo.com/Untitled-Wall. Enjoy!
